BFED-120 Bill 152 (2022) BILL 152 (2022), AMENDING APPENDIX A, PART II, SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE FUNDS, FISCAL YEAR 2023 (AFFORDABLE HOUSING FUND (PULELEHUA AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECT)) (BFED-120)
I strongly support this development for the working familes of West Maui. And have supported this project since when the land was owned by Maui Land and Pine. West Maui residents need more affordable homes and not have to live pay check to pay check. I personally have been waiting for a home for many years. Thank you.
I hope to see this opportunity prioritize the locals born and raised on the island of Maui. Mahalo Junya Nakoa for looking out for us, the people of Maui, and sharing information on affordable housing so that we may continue to live on our โaina.
We need more housing at an affordable rate for local families that are from the area. I am close to being pushed out by high housing prices and a project like this could really help the local community.
My name is Dustin Ompoy been born and raised on this island. Everytime my family and I try to apply for affordable housing we end up not getting it and it ends being sold to the rich people who have no residency here and end up selling it for more money or end up living there for only 2 months out of the year. I support this for all the Hawaii residents born and raised here to actually live in affordable homes with all Hawaii residents born and raised here as well and not be bought out of our own land by people who come here and try to change the way of living here and people who come and donโt appreciate the people born and raised on the islands.
I support the Pulelehua project ๐ซถ๐ฝ
