DRIP-2(24) DISCUSSION ON PROPOSED CHANGE IN ZONING FOR PULELEHUA (DRIP-2(24))

I am reaching out to discuss a pressing issue that has been affecting our community: the urgent need for affordable housing on the west side.
Now more than ever, our community is in desperate need of affordable housing options. The rising cost of living has placed an immense burden on many residents, making it increasingly difficult for families and individuals to find safe and affordable places to live. This challenge not only impacts those directly seeking housing but also affects the overall health and vitality of our community.

We need more affordable housing. Fema isn't the best help, a lot of people still don't have permanent housing. As well as families still sleeping in their cars either part time or full.

I'm a family of 6 and trying to find a place to have long term and affordable is getting impossible with all of the price gouging going on. How do we survive and afford a place if we're getting tossed around? We need stability. Not being jerked around. Housing is more needed for the locals who actually live here then those who only live here part time, or the one who come here just to get kamaina. Seriously think of the people first then money. Right now all I see is money is more important then the people who live here and have to suffer

I lost my home by the 2023 wild fire and having to have this affordable housing be build would help my family and other families that lost their home. Families including mine have been struggling trying to find a permanent home that we can afford. I support this project and move forward on building affordable homes for local families.

Aloha. My family and I are among the renters who were victims of the wildfire. We desperately need this affordable housing project. I am a father of three children, aged 8, 6, and 4. We hope to secure one of these homes for the better future of our children. Thank you for considering our situation.
