As a Lahaina resident I have been awaiting the development of Pulelehua since before the devastating fire. Whereas before it was a dream for me to have a comfortable and affordable home to share with my family, it is now a necessity in order to be able to live in Lahaina. Please remove the restriction so the building can move forward.
I strongly support this agenda, i want to live close to lahaina where i work, my son go to school and the rest of the family. We are displaced. This property will help many families to stay and work in the westside. February is around the corner, alot of us is starting to feel the pressure just after the fire. Please Mr. Chairman let it happen and remove all barriers. Im hoping your Good Governance will provide for your people. Mahalo
Aloha, we lost our home to the Lahaina Wild Fires and moved from place to place 9 different times and its very discouraging not knowing where we are going to live next because we cannot afford rent. We support the Pulelehua Project and if i
approved we hope the applying process for Pulelehua Affordable Housing will not be difficult for lahaina families that are in need of long term housing.. Mahalo
I support this project, and agree it needs to move forward ASAP to help those who are now houseless due to the lahaina fires. I, myself & ohana lost everything and all had to relocate all over the island and mainland. I know the struggle and for this housing project on the west side would help us locals get back to our hometown with our keiki.
I am in support of this project and please do whatever it takes to push this forward
We need housing for the people of West Maui especially those that have lost their homes due to the 2023 Lahaina fire. We don’t want to live anywhere else, this is our hometown. All we want to do is go home. Mahalo
We need long term housing for Lahaina residents. Almost a year and a half later and we still don't have a secure place to call home. We don't know where we will be after our lease ends. We need a permanent place to call home and start rebuilding our life's. Allow pulelehua to continue.
Our family was displaced by the Lahaina fire. We have had to move 5 times already. We need stable long term affordable housing . Please allow this project to move forward. Mahalo
I am writing to express my strong support for Councilmember Tamara Paltin’s proposed amendment to remove the condition that has delayed the much-needed Pulelehua affordable rental housing project. The completion of this project is critical to providing safe, long-term housing for families like mine who were displaced by the Lahaina fire.
Pulelehua has already met the necessary requirements for water source and storage, and the county’s approval to install the transmission lines is the final step. Removing this condition will allow the county to issue the necessary permits and bring us closer to the stability our community urgently needs.
Please prioritize the well-being of West Maui residents by clearing the path for this project to move forward. We need your support now more than ever to rebuild and recover.
We need the Pulelehua Housing project to move forward. Myself and many others are still looking for permanent housing on the West Side of Maui as a result of the Lahaina fires. Please remove any barriers that are keeping this project from being built.
We lost our livelihood and home along with the Lahaina fires. We hope to return someday. Please help release this project so it can move forward.

I strongly support this building project. Westside residence desperately needs more single family housing.
Yes we need desperately housing for the people in Lahaina. Pls take out the red flags. We are Lahaina together.
I support this. Anything that can help get local families into permanent homes should be treated as a priority
