WAI-7 Reso 25-86 RESOLUTION 25-86, ACCEPTING DEDICATION OF ROADWAY LOTS AT KEHALANI, WAILUKU-KAHULUI PROJECT DISTRICT 3 (WAILUKU), SITUATED IN WAILUKU, MAUI, HAWAII (WAI-7)
Aloha!
I am writing in support of Resolution 25-86 and hope the committee will vote in favor of accepting the dedication of the primary collector roadways of Kehalani. These roads support a large number of Maui residents and provide access to schools and parks for Kehalani and non Kehalani residents alike. Thank you for your consideration.
I would like to support the acceptance of Resolution No. 25-86 dedication of the roadways in Kehalani Development to the county of Maui. I live at 223 Puaehu in Kehalani.
I am Pamela S. Norris, a resident owner at 14 Kumulipo Pl, Wailuku, HI 96793 and a Kehalani Community Association Homeowner. I am submitting my testimony in support of
Resolution No. 25-86 which will be heard on Monday, May 12, 2025.
I am in support of the dedication of the primary collector roadways to Maui County. I am in agreement that the dedication of the roadways will mean that the maintenance costs related to the roads will be borne by the County and not the members of the Kehalani Community Association.
Thank you for allowing me to voice my support for Resolution No. 25-86.
Aloha Committee Members...I am writing you to express my gratitude and support for dedication of Kehalani streets to the County of Maui. Please vote affirmative to assure their continued protection and guardianship. Your action will benefit everyone who supports the growing local Kehalani business community, schools, and recreation areas in the vicinity.
Mahalo...

I'm writing in support of Resolution 25-86 to dedicate the primary collector roadways to Maui County. Since Maui County must approve all changes to roadways, and the majority of traffic revolves around the neighborhood school, the roads should be the responsibility of Maui County.
Aloha Council Member Cook and Members of the WAI Committee,
Our names are Jim and Vicky Diegel and we reside at 297 Maka Hou Loop in Wailuku. Our house falls within the Kehelani Community Association. We are both registered voters.
We support Resolution 25-86 and the dedication of primary collector roads to Maui County from the Master Developer, RCFC Kehalani LLC. The collector roads within Kehelani support public use locations such as Pu'u Kukui Elementary and a county park, such access should be served by the County of Maui and not a private association.
Please support Resolution 25-86.
Mahalo nui.

Aloha Chair Tom Cook and members of the WAI committee,
Please support Resolution No. 25-86.
My name is Pamela Ono and I reside at 151 Poniu Circle Wailuku, HI 96793 (Kaimana at Kehalani). This subdivision was constructed 27 years ago, yet the dedication of the roadways over to the County of Maui never took place. I also own property at 12 Piipii Way (Koa at Kehalani). The roadways of the entire Kehalani subdivision are open to the public allowing access to public schools and parks and therefore should be the responsibility of the County of Maui. Please support Resolution No. 25-86 which would allow this to happen.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide testimony.

Dear Council Member Tom Cook and WAI Committee Members,
I write to urge you to dedicate the roads of the Kehalani Community to Maui County. For many years these roads have been used not only by tax paying residents, but also by the public at large, including anyone going to either Pu'u Kukui Elementary School or the County's own Kehalani Mauka Park.
Maui County has delayed taking it's rightful responsibility for these roads for far too long. It is time to do the right thing by your tax paying residents. As our state motto says, "The sovereignty of the land is perpetuated in righteousness". Do the right thing! No more passing the buck.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Teresa G Wood

Aloha.
Your acceptance of Resolution 25-86 would benefit over 2000 home owners, and affect those daily using the many collector roads.
Please join the Kehalani Board of Directors and accept this proposal.
Thank you for your attention to this Resolution.
