IN OPPOSITION TO THE PROPOSED REDUCTION TO PRIOR AGREEMENTS.
I live in Maui Meadows and I have been picking up litter on my adopted section of Piilani Highway for 34 years. This last section of highway was opened in 1990 and has never been repaved. It has been patched hundreds of times. DOT has been waiting for Wailea 670/Honua’ula to fulfill its promise from decades ago to expand the highway to four lanes. The affordable housing component was hashed out with great difficulty many years ago. Now the developer doesn't want to meet the requirements that were agreed to by all concerned. That is not acceptable.
