Jeff Rebugio, Kaanapali Land here again.
Adding comments as I have just tuned into the meeting where Acting Deputy Uyeno with CWRM mentioned that CWRM has not yet received 'new' water use permit application for Puukolii Village Mauka. I wanted to clarify that the necessary water needs of Puukolii Village Mauka is primarily potable water (typical domestic use based on the development type - primarily housing, school, small village commercial). Hawaii Water Service is a utility company regulated by the PUC with established service area that includes the Puukolii Village Mauka parcels. Therefore, Hawaii Water Service is the logical entity that would submit a 'new' water use permit application. And such 'new' water application would be predicated on its existing capacity of existing wells and what CWRM will permit as 'existing' and where, if any, 'new' source/supply is relative to CWRM's established ground water aquifers (and/or surface water hydrologic unit). So it does not matter too much where the housing development is situated as it is where the source of water is being drawn from.
