I'd like to respectfully suggest that tiny homes on wheels be allowed to be moved into home sites and business sites once cleanup has completed and sites are environmentally safe.

water tanks could be used if the water is not safe yet, then repurposed as water catchment tanks later.

Temporary power could be provided using solar plus batteries, or solr plus bidirectional EV chargers / inverters from dcbel. This technology would allow solar to charge EV;s such as a NIssan Leaf and then the Nissan EV could power the homes AND construction sites

Temporary sewer connections could be allowed for the homes on wheels to use until the main home is finished.

Once the main homes/businesses are completed, the solar inverter bidirectional EV charger could be moved to the new home or business.

The tiny homes on wheels could then be repurposed as affordable housing wither in site or moved to a new location

FEMA grants and County funds could be used for this temporary AND long term housing solution, rather than temporary only shelters as is occurring now.

Aloha, I support these efforts and would like to eco the sentiments made by Autumn Ness about the county being active in employment for our community members. I feel it is important to enable and allow the leaders of our community to continue to support and uplift our communities by being able to receive compensation and salary for this. We have highly capable individuals who are best suited to handle this work already in place. Additionally, focusing efforts upon a volun-tourism industry would be worthwhile as well. There are many individuals & organizations who are actively desiring and inquiring about how they can support. Being able to invest in this as an industry and focus for the county will allow the first point to become part of our economic rebuild of a new, more focused industry. Finally, I feel this is a great time to approach these economic issues with innovate thoughts such as implementing a community based currency. Concepts around this allow the everyday person to invest and exchange in both social and community currency through a concurrent system of value and worth. I would love to schedule a time with council members to further explore this as a viable opportunity for Maui County.
