There is much confusion as to if and how homes and businesses will be able to be rebuilt, especially in the SMA. There needs to be a clear plan and guidance very soon, as people and businesses owners are becoming disillusioned and are already moving away. If these guidelines are not developed VERY quickly, the town of Lahaina and its residing businesses and residents will be lost forever, including a large number of generational Hawaiian home and business owners.
