Legislation: Resolution 22-260
As a resident of East Maui, as a Kalo farmer, and descendent, I’d like to formally support the appointment of Harry Hueu for Keanae License Area. Harry Hueu has served as a commercial and self-sufficient Kalo farmer for many years, he has supported community members, local events, funerals, inherited kuleana by his tutu man, James Keola Hueu. Mr. Harry Hueu has expertise in the irrigation systems and larger watershed system within East Maui.
Our Ohana has watched Mr. Hueu become one of the best Kalo farmers in Hawai’i.
It would be in the best interest to support the appointment of Harry Hueu for Keanae License Area.
Our ‘ohana continues to support the local engagement of Kalo farmers, who serve immense purpose to our sustainable community not just in Keanae, but throughout Hawaii.
