Absolutely not. I have appreciated being able to testify on many issues over the last 8 years. Sorry the pesky public take up too much time testifying.
Even Mike White didn’t try and waste everyone’s time and taxpayers money trying to limit the importance of public testimony. We need plenty of advanced notice for the citizens of Maui County to respond to decisions that will impact them and their children for generations to come.
I want my children and grandkids to be able to have the freedom to exercise their right to be informed and testify on issues that affect them. Last time I checked we still lived in a Democracy, not a Banana Republic. Stop trying to limit public involvement with our government!
I’m sure you have many more important things to work on besides thwarting public discourse. Stop wasting taxpayers money on this absurdity. Remember who you work for Ms Lee and anyone who votes in favor. You work for all citizens, not just your big campaign donors.
