The Maui Planning Commission deals with complicated and contentious issues. The commission should consist of experts who understand planning and land use, and topics like climate change, Hawaiian culture, history, ecology, etc . Blaine Apo is a business owner of a shipping company and a potato chip factory, I could not find any experience that is applicable to this commission. Mr. Apo isn't qualified and approval of his nomination shouldn't be recommended.
