My name is Mavis Oliveira-Medeiros and I am testifying on IT-99 Bill 74 (2022). Our permanent office in the Hana Civic Center is located right above the access to Kaihalulu, therefore we see the hoards of tourist and locals who peruse this area and many times, blocking the road. This road also accesses a couple of Resident homes in Hana and the Hotel's Sea Ranch Cottages. Some times they park on both sides, not caring that they're blocking other people's entrances.
Being here, we also see all the emergency rescues that occur, sometimes twice a week. There is a concern that when Residents need Emergency care, it won't be available.
This is a start but probably need a more permanent solution, because as it is, they park all over Hana town to get there.
