I support Council member Mike Molina’s budget proposal for $200K towards the land acquisition of TMK (2) 3-8-001:072 (29.95 acres) or for a master plan of beach improvements and public access to Wawau point.

Aloha kākou - Thank you for your support for the work of the Maui Invasive Species Committee. The additional funding requested by Councilmember Sinenci and supported by the Administration would allow MISC and MoMISC to add much needed staff for East Maui and Molokai and provide equipment and supplies to support those positions. Mahalo nui.

Born and raised in Paia, this was one of the few North Shore beaches my family and I would go to. Due to parking, I along with many of my families haven't gone since 2016. Many of us locals would surely benefit from these improvements and still have consideration for visitors.
Please do whatever is possible to acquire and preserve TMK (2) 3-8-001:072 as a park and beach access. It's a modest investment that contributes greatly to quality of life of Maui residents. Too many opportunities to purchase and preserve public land have been missed in the past by shortsighted councils.
