Dear council members,Maui Dragon Farm was runinga zip lines on 11-27-21-this Saturday at 6 pm. That was 2 violations in one, since their CUP ZIP line allows Monday through Friday until noon. After that kids at the cottage partied until mid-night. As you could hear and read from prior testimonies this has been happening in the past as well. Crystal stated in the last meeting that they never run the ZIP lines past allowed hours. Minutes later when she was told that there is evidence of evening ZIP line running, she stated that was part of their "sunset dinner tour". These and many other inconsistencies is her claims creates an impression that they will continue to do whatever they want to do and later deny it. It is difficult to believe, based on prior behaviour, that they will keep their word.
My concern is that if their CUP is not disallowed in order to give them a chance to complete booked weddings through mid next year, that their permit is still valid until mid year. Than next year they may decide to change their mind and than ask for weddings and other activities of this CUP and SUPs again. They have been in many violations of those conditional permits and denying the extension for all activities other than farm tours, would be prudent to do and only allow for those 11 booked weddings to be completed without the permit.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
    Mahalo Sincerely, Vera

Aloha I am writing from a next door neighbors perspective. For the past few years I have witnessed countless late night parties and endless amounts of loud motorcycles, scooters and camper vans in and out of the Maui Dragon Fruit Farm property at all hours of the night. The feeling I get is that it is a free for all to come and hang out and party.

The Maui Dragon Fruit Farm's conditional permit states that hours of operations are 8am-noon Monday through Friday, but just this past Saturday ZIP line was working at 6pm and after that kids living at the farm partied until mid-night. It is very unfortunate that the owners are taking advantage of what was a very generous CUP - and at the same time they are asking to have it extended they are disregarding the conditions of the permit. Not to mention, my understanding is that at least 50 acres is required to have a zip line.

We live across the street from Dragon Farm. For many years we have been exposed to excessive noise coming from their weddings, wild staff parties, and ZIP line screams at any time of the day or night. We also see many motorcycles, vans and young people coming up on foot to the farm at night. We don’t know what is n there and what they are allowed to do, as we never received anything explaining that to us. It is very frustrating for our family and our kids to be exposed to this. Our quiet evenings are frequently disturbed by many different yelling and loud music.
Mahalo for disallowing permits to these owners
