Aloha Subcommittee-
The peculiar existing stop signage at Haiku and Kokomo roads creates an ambiguous and misleading situation at the intersection. Not only is there a site distance problem caused by vehicles parked on Haiku Road in front of Nuka restaurant and the post office, but the stop sign on Haiku Road facing West implies through traffic from Haiku Road to Kokomo Road. The safest way to clarify the situation and make it consistent with most similar intersections is to put a stop sign on Haiku Road for vehicles heading south. To those who would protest, I say that a stop sign will not change the character of the community. Mahalo.
