I live in Kihei and I fully support lowering the cap on short term rental licenses. I suggest lowering the Kihei number to 0 rather than 100, as we just do not need any more. If we are going to manage tourism, the last thing we want is more short term rentals that remove long term rental properties from locals who need housing and drive capacity for more tourists. I would prefer that no new permits be allowed at all. But if you won't do that, yes, at least lower the numbers currently allowed. I strongly support this measure. - Molly Jacobson
