I am submitting this comment as an individual, not on behalf of the Planning Department. I believe Transit Corridor isn’t the best term to replace Urban Center/Corridor as it is specifically describing a linear thoroughfare between multiple sites or locations, such as Queen Ka’ahumanu Avenue. I believe the public would tend to visualize buses and trains speeding down the road. I interpret the designation as intending to create or foster Maui scale downtown/Main Street type places and I believe "center" is the key part of the designation. I suggest “Town Center” or “Medium Town Center” (to distinguish from the existing Small Town Center designation).
